This book is good. It is the first book in the Grisha trilogy.
It has these special people called Grisha, who have special abilities. There is this girl named Alina Starkov and she learns that she is the most powerful Grisha ever and has a chance to save her country. She gets caught up in an endless battle of darkness against light, in betrayal and lies. She tries to learn who to trust, while attempting to figure out a life of luxury that has been thrown her way and keep in touch with her crush as there paths separate. She grows stronger, as does her knowledge. This is a beautifully written book about powers and about magic, a book about danger and cunning actors.
This book has violence, action, love, magic. This book also has love triangles, which bothers me but maybe not you. I recommend this trilogy for ages 13+.
