I was at the library one day when I saw this book. I picked it up because I am a giant fan of Laurie Halse Anderson’s work. At the beginning, there was a warning saying ‘not for children’ and it was right. This is not my favorite book by her, but it is still well written and realistically portrays teenagers in high school and how the web can ruin your life in 1 night. This book follows a senior who after doing something bad has to work with the janitors and at a landscaping company. During the year he has to deal with failing grades, his popular crush, his verbally abusive father, his best friend dating his younger sister, bullies, and false accusations. I would say this book is 15+ for drug use, swearing, teenager moments, perverse teenager thoughts, and suicidal thoughts.
